They say the most accurate way of forecasting the weather is to look out of the window and whatever it is, it will more likely than not be the same tomorrow. This is based on the statistical fact that as weather tends to stay the same for two or three days, then changes on one day, there are more days the same than changing!

Whether you believe all that, please just hope it is correct, because looking out of the window in Newburgh on Saturday, the day before The Sandwalk 2009, it was fair, dry and sunny, with no sign of rain anywhere.

Let’s hope for the same for Sunday for The Sandwalk 2009, have fun!

You can now boost your total money raised for Erskine (Caring for Ex-Service Men and Women) by asking your sponsors to take advantage of the Just Giving website. What this means is that the charity will be able to reclaim tax relief on donations made by UK taxpayers, which is most of us.

You can still record their support on your sponsor form, just put “pledge” against the amount sponsored, so we will know the money will be coming through Just Giving, you could print out an extra sponsor form and keep pledges separate if you like.

As well as your total amount of funds raised being boosted by the tax relief, there is less paperwork for you and for us, and you don’t have to collect the donations, as it is all taken care of automatically and credited to your own page.

To take advantage of the extra boost to your fundraising, just go to Just Giving/Erskine and register your name and other details to create your own page for your Sandwalk fundraising for Erskine
